9 weeks old

Happy 9 weeks to Harper today! He is definitely getting bigger and acting a little older. He is sleeping a little less, learning a little more, and biting a LOT more. He is apparently in the teething stage, and his basket FULL of toys just aren't what he really wants to be chewing on. Our fingers, toes, calves, elbows, knees, faces, etc are just so much better tasting!

Ben works with him up to an hour almost every night. So far he has learned "SIT" very well, "STAY" pretty well, and comes "HERE" sometimes. He is definitely catching on quick though and seems to be a VERY intelligent dog. We'll see how much more strict training from Ben's "Water Dog" book he wants to endure... It will be worth it in the end!

This picture to the left is his "sneaky" face...when he knows he is doing something wrong but is going to do it anyway. That happens quite often being as michievious as he is! But what a joy he is! Always puts a smile on my face and keeps me company until his daddy gets home in the afternoons! Happy 9 weeks old Harper!!!! We love you!

Chili Cookoff

Saturday, we went downtown to the American Cancer Society's 14th Annual Chili Cookoff. We had never been before, but really enjoyed it. Got to taste a bunch of yummy chili (well some not so yummy), see a bunch of people and walk around. It was such a beautiful day too so we had a good time. Of course, getting to see Bennett was fun too! :)

Linen Shower

Sunday I hosted a Linen Shower for my best friend, Katie Butler. Being that we have been friends since age 3, and I am so grateful to be her Maid of Honor, I wanted to do a little something extra special for her wedding celebration.
With the help of my mom (alot of help), and some of the other bridesmiads and their moms, the party went off without a hitch! There was tons of YUMMY food, wonderful company of about 25-30 people, not so great weather, but a great time! I was so sad we forgot to take a group picture of all the hostesses with Katie! The wedding is almost here (March 1st)!
My little 6 person "dining table" was quite jampacked with all the fantastic food: Fruit, Cheese Soufle Sandwiches, Spinach Balls, Swiss Cheese Dip, Chicken Salad, Pasta Salad, Texas Caviar, Petit Fours, and a Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball The yummy punch Katie's future sister-in-law madeThe Guest book and flowers
Opening gifts
Bennett made an appearance too
Harper was exhausted and slept in his basket of toys after visiting with all the sweet ladies who thought he was just the cutest thing at the end of the party

The babies

Last Sunday we had to return Steele to Natalie and Stephen (we babysat him the weekend they went to Shreeveport, same weekend we got Harper). While Ben and Stephen played with the pups, Nat and I gave Bennett a bath and got him ready for bed. I love every second I get to spend with this little guy! I feel like he's growing up so fast!!
The BABIES! Harper is 6 days older than Bennett!!
What are you doing AuniE?
Cutest little polo shirt outfit.
Didn't mind the bathing thing one bit!
All clean and in my sleep sack!!

Harper Champ Kennemer

We have a new baby boy! Harper was born December 23, 2007. We weren't supposed to get him until this upcoming weekend, at 8 weeks old, but we convinced them to let us have him early, at 7 weeks old, last weekend. He is from Dewberries Labradors, the same place Natalie and Stephen got Steele! Even more, he has the same mom as Steele, so we definitely know he will turn out perfect! :)

Setzler-Kennemer Wedding

Ben and I got married November 17, 2007. We are absolutely loving married life! Here are some links to view our wedding pictures....

The photographer, Samantha Alday, has a blog where she posted our wedding comments/info. Click Here.
Then she created a slideshow to music with some of her favorites from our wedding weekend. Click Here.

Then there is a gallery where ALL 675 of our wedding weekend pictures are posted (she photographed our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner party, and the whole wedding day). You can register with you email address and creating your own password. Then, the login password to our gallery is: kennemer. Click Here.
Needless to say, Samantha did an incredible job. She was a joy to work with and the pictures are one of a kind. We also recieved such awesome goodies with our wedding package: a 4x6 copy of every single picture, a proof book of thumbnails of all 675 pics, a custom made art album, and a CD of every single image. Anyway, I definitely recommend her to anyone getting married (or she does other occasions too). here is her website

Officially a Blogger

Well, I did it. I finally started a blog. I have no idea what it will turn into. I already have NO time for extracurricular activities these days, so we will see how much time I can dedicate to this (I'm pretty sure I will substitute more important tasks with blogging, but oh well).

Natalie has told me several time that I should start one. I am the type of person who liked to post things on facebook, but felt weird doing so because so many of my "facebook friends" aren't actually my "friends" so they really didnt need to be updated on my life. But, I like to know what is going on with others, so maybe this way they can know whats going on with me.

Maybe one day the "Kennemer Family" will refer to children, but that is a long way off.... for now the "Kennemer Family" refers to Ben, me, and our new puppy Harper. Please comment on my posts if you wish. :)

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!
