I finally got the nursery COMPLETELY finished a couple of weekends ago and am excited to debut it on the blog. I had visions of very light blue, white, and maybe some grays from the very beginning.
We had the room painted Benjamin Moore Pebble Beach (1597) and I absolutely love how it turned out with all of the white going on in the room. Sometimes it looks a little bluer, and other times is the perfect grey. That's the door into the room on the left, so this is the first wall.
The dresser/changing table with mirror was from an antique store here locally and we got them to throw in the lamps as part of the deal. I got new lamp shades and this part was done!
The glider is by Best Chairs and is the Frasier Swivel/Glider with ottoman that we picked out and ordered from a local furniture store. It is so incredibly comfortable. The small table provides the boldest blue color in the room just to break up all the white furniture.
The shelf over the chair was created by combining white brackets that I bought several years ago from an antique store on Magazine Street in New Orleans, with a custom cut piece of glass for the shelf. This is where his delicate/breakable/collectible items will go out of reach and on display. Currently, some of my favorite Herend pieces are up there.
This is the next wall, moving clockwise around the room.
We had the drapes custom made at a local Fabric store with a white linen and black-out lining for good sleeping darkness! The curtain rods are from Pottery Barn, even after looking for weeks for a knock-off version, I just couldn't find any this pretty.
Here is the next wall. As I mentioned before, the crib was given to us from a wonderful family friend (and my babysitter when I was younger) whose children had outgrown their cribs. I had this crib in my attic for almost 2 years before having the opportunity to pull it out, but am so grateful that she offered it to us years ago before we even needed it.
The bedding was all custom made through a baby bedding company here locally. It took me FOREVER, and I almost drove my designer sister crazy during the process, to pick out the fabrics for his bed. I had a vision in my head but then got distracted by what I thought that I wanted, when really, this simple bedding was all it took to make me happy!

As I mentioned in a previous post, Ben asked me, and I decided to paint a canvas to go over his crib rather than buying something. My design quickly changed after my 1st day of painting it, and I got discouraged along the way and thought that we would just have to buy something in the end. But I'm glad I stuck it out and kept working on the painting because now we both love it and I'm pretty proud of my labor of love for Wells' room!
This is the 4th and final wall of the room. The mirrors on the left were from Grandin Road (and they apparently don't sell them anymore so I'm glad I snagged them).
This is the inside look of the closet (the right side isn't baby stuff, it's luggage and dresses of mine, which I don't think Wells will miss out on not having that room). There was so much empty space under the clothes rod that I convinced Ben to make the shelves that the fabric bins now sit on/in. He did an awesome job and everything looks perfect to my crazy organizational eye!
The top of the closet has several things that we already have but aren't using yet: Angel Care monitor, Baby Bjorn, outside swing, memory box, Bumbo seat and tray, and play mat.
His "nice" clothes are all hanging and in size order, separated by the awesome little closet organizers that I registered for and my mom bought me (knowing that it would be perfect for my personality). Everything has been washed and is on the same kind of hanger (I found a favorite and bought tons).
Below that are 3 fabric bins from Pottery Barn Kids and are currently holding (L to R) larger sized clothing, burp cloths, and blankets. Under that is more storage, his pack N play, and the Nap Nanny (that my friend Erin is letting me borrow).
The over the door hooks I'm sure will constantly be changing but are currently holding the beautiful diaper bag (which is currently Wells' hospital bag) and some special clothes that are coming to the hospital with us.
Next to the closet, right when you come in the door, is the bookshelf (Pottery Barn Kids). The artwork over the bookshelf is just something that I made by recycling an old frame, a wooden cross, and some scrapbook paper. The books added a little height to the little lamp which matches the floor lamp by the chair.
The top shelf is kinda random right now, with pictures, keepsakes, decorative items, etc. It will grow and change as he grows and changes I am sure.
Middle shelf: BOOKS! I wanted to go ahead and have a pretty good book collection and start reading to him early. Some were gifts, some I got on sale, and others were mine when I was little.
The bottom 2 baskets are currently for toys and lovies.
This was the decor on the door for my couples shower that now adorns the entrance to Wells' room.
We put his little lamb swing together and it's already found a place to live in our den, because I'm sure that's where we will be using it the most.
I absolutely LOVE our cool high chair (Stokke- Tripp Trapp), and have it put together and in the dining room, even though he won't be sitting in it for a good number of months.
And this bassinet came from the same family friend who gave us our crib. It is massive but beautiful and we plan to have Wells sleep in here, in our room, right when he comes home.
So that's it! The nursery reveal plus more. I hope you like his room as much as I do... I could sit in the glider for hours and just be HAPPY! I think it will get even better when he is actually here... which is happening VERY soon.
