Halloweeny time

Last weekend was a nice weekend at home.  We went to dinner with friends Katie & Jody on Friday night to a fun little "Coastal Mexican" Restaurant in town called Fuego.  LOVE their margaritas!  After dinner we went to the St. Paul's vs. UMS High School Football game... we all went to SPS and this was our high school rivalry game.  I admit that I cared nothing about going to the football game (I figured my next visit would be for my 10 year reunion next year! WOW already 10 years!) but the boys wanted to and it was interesting to go back, see old teachers and random people we knew.  St. Paul's won 36-6 so it was great to see them win as well!

Our weather never can decide this time of year if it wants to be hot or cold but we got a small burst of cooler weather starting Friday night.  Saturday night we decided to have friends over to cook out and watch the Auburn vs. Ole Miss game (War Eagle)!  We had a great crowd of 4 other couples of great friends come over and we had a really fun time!
The Rices, Cranes, Bradfords, and soon-to-be Martinas
We had appetizers, pizza, wings, salad, and Holley made some yummy Halloween cupcakes
and since it was cold, we fired up the fire pit for some warmth outside.  Of course, Stephanie had the wonderful idea of bringing over ingredients for S'mores!!!!
I have a feeling we will be doing this again this Fall/Winter!
Then Monday was Halloween and while we don't have any of our own babies to dress up (although I should find a costume for Harper!), I love seeing my nieces and nephew in their costumes!  We usually aren't home, for one reason or another, on Halloween, but this year we handed out candy until we ran out.  We need to make mental note to eat dinner earlier next year because right after we sat down with our Taco Soup, that had been in the crock pot all day, was right when the doorbell started ringing and didn't stop for the next hour that I was back & forth taking bites of my dinner!  All in all it was fun and we are enjoying the Fall!!!
