11 MONTHS OLD

~A look at Wells' 11th month~

Wednesday June 5th was Wells' 1st day at his summer Mother's Day Out program!

That weekend we finally installed Wells' new carseat and he got to use it.  He loved it!

He also wore one of his daddy's sunsuits from when he was a little boy.  I love seeing Wells wear outfits that were his daddy's!

He started making this face all the time, usually during meals, and breathing in and out of his nose really quickly- cracks us up!

He's into all the cabinets in the kitchen- stack of styrofoam cups are now Wells' and he can play with them any time!

Crawling everywhere so knees are red; drooling so outfit is wet; tired so arms are up; in a precious monogrammed sunsuit and oh so cute! 

They finally gave him a balloon at Publix and he was OBSESSED with it! 

and on July 2nd he turned 11 months old!  

Age: 11 months old

no doctor's appointment for stats

Likes: what I call "hollering" because it's not like talking but isn't crying (he just found his voice), clapping on demand when we say "yay", the clock and the noise machine on the side table in his room, toys with wheels

Dislikes: teething pain, diaper changes (he won't sit still), fruits (i think he dislikes the slimy texture)

Eating: still breastfeeding every 4 hours (8am, 12, 4, 7:30pm).  Eats baby food or small bites of regular food 2 times a day (lunch & dinner)

Sleeping:  Goes to bed by 7:30pm and sleeps until 7:30-8am.  Naps around 10am and 2pm (1-2 hours each)

Diapers: Size 3 Pampers cruisers & size 4 pampers nighttime diapers

Clothes: 9, 12, & 18 month dressy clothes/bubbles and 12-18 month cotton/play clothes/pajamas

Other things to mention from this month:

• Mainly saying "yaya", "dahdahdah" (but not in relation to dadddy), "baba" consonant sounds
• He is constantly climbing up on top of his bumpers and standing up on the edge of his walker
• Started holding his own bottle this month
• Would drink through a straw a few times but otherwise just likes to chew on it
• Still working on the eating regular food concept- he will sometimes pick up and eat small things like cheerios, green peas, etc but really prefers that you put them in his mouth for him.  Always spits out fruits and won't pick them up himself (too slimy?).  
• (I was such a bad mommy and stopped writing all the little details of everything he did down when he was 10 months old, so this month this section isn't as long as it used to be).  

I can't believe you are almost 1 year old! SLOW DOWN TIME! :)
