8 MONTHS OLD

Get ready for picture overload from Wells' 8th month!  Other than Easter, here are some of the things we did.

Two of my great girl friends asked me to join them for a girls night at the beach (March 8th) and while my first inclination was to say that I couldn't, I talked to Ben about it and we arranged for me to go and spend my 1st night away from Wells while he had some one-on-one Daddy time! Trust me, Wellsy was in some pretty good hands :)

on April 2nd Wells turned 8 months old (and his monthly pictures were a whole lot more difficult because he wouldn't sit still)!

Age: 8 months old

no doctor's appointment for stats

Likes: the door bouncer, his color stacking rings he got for valentine's day, drumming on the table, banging 2 toys against each other, bath time to splash

Dislikes: diaper rash, not being able to pull himself up when he wants to sit or roll over, 

Eating: still breastfeeding every 4 hours (8am, 12, 4, 7:30pm).  Eats baby food 1-2 times a day (lunch & dinner) homemade & jarred

Sleeping:  Goes to bed at 7:30pm and sleeps until 7:30 or 8am.  Naps around 10am and 2pm (1-2 hours) and occasionally at 5:30 or so for 30 minutes

Diapers: Size 3 Pampers swaddlers (nighttime diapers too)  

Clothes: 9 month dressy clothes/bubbles and 9, 12, or 18 month cotton/play clothes/pajamas (measures needing 12-18m clothes for length)

Other things to mention from this month:

• Had a scare with blood in his diaper that ended up being severe diaper rash :(
• I started making him some baby food and banana is his favorite (also made sweet potato & carrots)
• He giggles all the time
• Has started using the bumpers to pull himself up to sitting in the crib
• Usually naps on his side and sleeps at night on his back
• Has become much more interactive with Harper- watching him and reaching out to him
• Rocks around when he's laying on his tummy and pushes up on his arms
• Tries to go from sitting to standing all the time and if you give him one finger he will stand
• Occasionally pushes up on all fours but hasn't tried to crawl yet
• He is honestly always so content and happy and calm
• We put our house on the market and have been showing it and am anxious about moving in the near future!
