2 MONTHS

Wells did a lot of exciting things during his 2nd month; some of which were covered on the blog posts before this one.  After we got back from Massachusetts we did more fun things.  On September 23, we were honored to attend Wells' best friend Caroline's Baptism and go to church for the 1st time since Wells was born!

 and on October 2nd Wells turned 2 months old!

Age: 2 months old

Weight: 12 pounds 6 ounces (75 %tile)

Height: 24.5 inches (90 %tile)

Head: 39.75 cm (50 %tile)

Likes: Smiling (mainly in the mornings, during diaper changes, and after baths), sucking on his hands in fists, staring at the ceiling/fan/lights, playing on his playmat, making happy noises
Dislikes: when you stop bouncing the bouncy seat when he's in it, taking long daytime naps in the crib, Huggies diapers (blows them out every time I try one), being cold after his bath
Eating:  Breastfeeding: every 2.5-3.5 hours during the day, with last feeding usually around 8:30 or 9 pm... each feeding lasts from 8-10 minutes total for both sides

Sleeping:  Slept through the night for the 1st time mid month (8 hours) and for a full week every single night (up to 10 hours straight).  This was HEAVENLY!  When he wasn't sleeping through the night he was usually only waking up once

Diapers: Size 1 Pampers (invested in Pampers overnight diapers too since he was sleeping so long at night)

Clothes: 3, 3-6, and some 6 month sizes

Other things to mention from this month:

• We discovered that he would nap better in his carseat out and about than he did in his crib at home during the day
• Started to hold his head up really well and continued strengthening throughout the month
• Started to smile and laugh with intent
• Hair started falling out just a little on the sides at the beginning of the month
• Tried rolling to his side from stomach
• Had his 1st babysitter (when we were in Massachusetts for wedding- along with a whole lot of other firsts like flying)
• Started batting at the toys hanging from his playmat
• Decided he didn't like tummy time anymore
• Will follow you in the room with his eyes and can apparently see farther away
• Rubs his eyes with hands in fists when he's tired
• Developed a little bit of baby acne but really not too bad
• Ben commented that he's "much more fun" now
• Ganddaddy kept Wells while we went to one of Ben's work functions for an hour or so 
• Ben kept him alone for the 1st time while I went to a party (about 2 hours)
• Went to Emory's 2nd Birthday Party (it was a girls only princess party but Wells still had fun)!
• Mimi & Doc kept him while we went to my 10 year high school reunion
• Had some rough days breastfeeding where he would cry and fuss and not latch on for a while (we think it wasn't coming out fast enough for him and he got impatient)
• When sleeping through the night, he would sleep, for example, from 9:30pm-6am, or 10pm-7:30am!!!  

This month it hit me how fast time was flying by.  2 months will turn into 12 before I know it.  Cherishing each moment with our boy.
