Memorial Weekend

We had a wonderful, relaxing, fun long weekend at the beach. All 9 in our family (momma and daddy, natalie stephen and bennett, ben and i, rachel and hollis) were together (in addition to Sarah Beth and Michael for part of the weekend), got lots of sun, and had TOO much yummy food! The boys went fishing on the new boat on Saturday, but didn't end up catching a thing. Bennett was such a cutie in his beach gear! I can't wait til the new POOL is finished being built (should be ready in a week or so). We are going to have a lot of fun down there this summer!

Today, Monday, Ben and I spent the entire day in the yard. Cutting grass, weed eating, pulling weeds (my LEAST favorite, but most needed), picking veggies from our garden (tomatoes and jalapenos right now), and cutting more roses! Definitely worked up a sweat, but we felt very accomplished by the end of the day. It's easy to take pride and work hard when it's YOUR house, YOUR yard. Ben and I are really enjoying working on our home and yard together through our newlywed journey.
