Prayer

O my goodness do alot of people need our prayers right now. I feel like the "blogging world" has brought me much joy, laughter, smiles, friendship, and a new way of feeling 'connected'. At the same time, it has shown me a whole 'nother world out there. The lives of other people, that I know or don't know, who are going through tough times, struggling to understand God's plan in their lives, suffering after death of a child or loved one, recovering from illness or trials and tribulations, or just going through a life that isn't mine/those around me, and that I'm used to.

I feel SO BLESSED. I hate to jinx myself, and of course there are ups and downs, joys and triumphs, loss and sadness in life. but overall... i AM BLESSED. My family and friends, my husband.... I mean that's just to name a FEW wonderful things in my life.
.
But you know, one thing that can come out of all the horrible things I mentioned above, is the way it impacts, teaches, molds, or reshapes others lives who experience it or just READ about it on a blog. A common thread between most of them is their love of GOD and PRAY to him for some clarity during such difficult situations. They have given me a whole new outlook on my life as a Christian and his plans for us. The amazing faith and love that these people have, through all of their losses, has motivated me to be more like them. I praise the LORD each day I have, whether bad or good, because it is all in his plan. Hold your loved ones tight!!!
.
These are some amazingly strong people whose blogs I follow... and these are only a handful of people out there who need your PRAYERS right now:
.
The Smith Family... just lost their baby girl, Audrey, due to abnormalities that they knew would take her to heaven either as she was born, or right after (as it happened... 2 and a half hours after her birth)... then just yesterday lost their 7 week old nephew unexpectedly
.
The Ferlaak Family... lost their daughter, Teagan, years ago when a car ran through the restaurant they were eating in and injured the entire family
.
The Chapman Family... The Christian singer's family who lost their adopted daughter, Maria, last week after an accident at their home
.
Katherine Wolf.... A new mom who had an aneurysm a month ago and is struggling to regain herself and her health
.
Avery's Family... A little girl who is suffering from multiple health problems that make everyday life for her and her family more difficult than any of us could imagine

These families didn't ask to be the focus of the strength that comes from their faith in God, in spite of their life's trials. They are, though. We should be reminded that this is not a perfect world, but God sees us through, if we just turn to Him. God is good; he hears our prayers, and He is working in the lives of so many, and touching so many more lives.

Erin,
I was wondering if you knew the specific's of baby Simon? I have read their blog for awhile and really don't quite understand what happened.

BTW, I found your blog through your sisters.
