Ben came home with a beautiful bouquet, with ONE pink rose representing our one year, as he put it. SO SWEET! Then, Ben made reservations for us to have our 1st anniversary dinner at a fantastic new-ish restaurant in Mobile called TRUE (per my hinting at wanting to go there). 
Every bit of food I've ever had there was fantastic, and it was nothing less last night! We exchanged gifts, memorable items for our 1st anniversary (I'm wearing mine in the pic)
1st anniversary gifts are "supposed" to be paper or clocks.... so I made a card for Ben outlining the times of our births and when we got married...corny but fun (his real gift was waiting at home)
After getting home, we had to do the traditional eating of the top of our wedding cake. My mommy was sweet enough to keep it in her freezer all year!! Someone even saved the original flowers too, so I stuck them in! 
Ben was slightly skeptical about taking a bite of year old cake, but I think it tasted the same as it did a year ago, GREAT! 
We really had a fantastic anniversary. My plan was to watch atleast part of our wedding video every year, but Ben wasn't really into that idea. He says his memory is enough... one of these days he will finally watch it! :)
